Sebastien De Preneuf, CIO of Glasses.com, agrees that DevOps, SysOps and the cloud are critical to the business. It's just a matter of finding the right people for those positions who are passionate and can make it happen.

"We are not afraid of cloud. I am not afraid of cloud. I think it is the future of a lot of the innovation that we want to do. It enables us to do proof of concepts relatively quickly, and therefore in the concept that I was discussing, taking that proof of concept and industrializing it for the company. Cloud for us is a very good way forward."
What is the impact of DevOps in your organization?
"DevOps is definitely something that we are implementing at Glasses.com actually to the point that I am looking for a DevOps and a SysOps person. We want to implement and to roll out new functionalities, new changes to our business every week if possible.
You cannot do that without having a good control of both QA, development and business requirements. This is where I think DevOps and SysOps will sit."
What really drives you?
"What I am passionate about at Glasses.com is really two areas. One is the people, I love, there is nothing that makes me happier than coming back home and actually having hired successfully somebody and having the perfect candidate in the perfect role. I think that finding this person is a very key part of my job. The other part is around innovation. At Glasses.com, I have the ability to participate directly to the benefit of the company through innovation. And this is something that every time I see a little child born in this innovative world, it makes me very happy and very proud.
